Reconstitution calculator

Concentration, draw volume, U-100 syringe units, and doses per vial from vial size, water volume, and dose.

Concentration, per-dose volume, U-100 syringe units, and doses per vial from vial size, diluent volume, and dose mass.

Doses circulated on forums and vendor pages (commonly 250 to 500 mcg per day) have no acceptable published source and are deliberately not repeated as data anywhere on this site; the calculator accepts any input value the user chooses to document.

Dose unit

1 mg = 1000 mcg.

Insulin syringe barrel

All three use the U-100 scale, so the units to draw are the same on each; smaller barrels just space the markings further apart.

Arithmetic only: concentration = vial mg / water mL; units = mL x 100. It does not check any dose against any reference.

Worked example

  1. A 5 mg vial with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5 / 2 = 2.5 mg/mL (2500 mcg/mL).
  2. A 250 mcg draw is 0.25 mg; 0.25 / 2.5 = 0.1 mL.
  3. 0.1 mL on a U-100 insulin syringe is 0.1 x 100 = 10 units.
  4. A 5 mg vial contains 5000 mcg, so 5000 / 250 = 20 full draws.

Quick reference: U-100 syringe units for common combinations. Units per dose = dose volume in mL x 100. Rows below are pure arithmetic from the formulas above.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the calculator not suggest a dose?

Because none exists to suggest. No human dose-finding study of BPC-157 has been published. The tool documents arithmetic for whatever value you enter; it does not validate that value.

What diluent volumes do the presets reflect?

Common research documentation uses 1 to 5 mL of bacteriostatic water in 5 or 10 mg vials. Presets are conveniences, not recommendations; any positive volume computes.
